Well the first two that came to mind were Speaker and Cobb who were both temporarily banned from baseball for gambling allegations. The HoF part threw me off. There is one unforgivable sin in baseball and it is what seperates actual sports from the WWF.

I guess you could argue Cobb was better than Mays and/or Mantle but I believe both have a higher adjusted career EqA.
