Pedro. His ERA is amazing in this hitter's era.

If you add Dontrelle Willis to the list as one poster said....you have to add Brandon Webb to the list also.

If I were drafting tomorrow for next year's draft

Mark Prior
Jason Schmidt
Pedro Martinez
Curt Schilling
Kerry Wood
Tim Hudson...could have up to 10 more wins (poor run support and relief pitching)
Barry Zito
Mark Mulder
Roy Oswalt
Randy Johnson...I said for next season
Mike Mussina
Randy Wolf
Roy Halladay
Kevin Millwood

Honorable Mention
Brandon Webb
Johan Santana
Dontrelle Willis
Rich Harden..ok maybe this is a reach lol

Ok dont be too harsh in your debates on these choices.

I think that because of Mulder's Chan-Ho Park esque like splits that he shouldn't be included on the list.

Mark Prior
Jason Schmidt.

I'm intrigued by this: I just, five minutes ago, had an argument with a guy on the value of Mark Prior. Here's the scenario: keeper league, salary cap (Prior makes 200K in this league, with an 80M cap), h2h, yes points for strikeouts etc. If I had to draft next year into a league with that format, I would pick Prior first, and apparently, so would bronxbomber. This guy was so angry at that assumption because I told him I'd rather Prior than Barry Zito-- how do the rest of you feel about that comparison?

I'll argue against Wood being on the list. He's admittedly awesome at times. But he's never won more than 13 games in a season, and to therefore have him included among the ten best in the game is overrating him. His stuff is top ten, but his record isn't. And putting the 8-6 Wood on the All Star team over Willis is an outrage.
