So my girlfriend is a middle school librarian and she's made a hobby out of confiscating notes being passed around. She brings them home and we laugh at the ridiculous, intentionally poor spelling, grammar and social skills.

Well, she brought home a note today with an acronym that has me baffled. Acronyms are becoming increasingly popular thanks to the Internet, MySpace and other gay online communities. Now I'm in my mid 20's, so I like to think there isn't a huge generation gap between myself and the youngsters out there; especially since I've been so guilty of succumbing to trends my whole life.

But there is an acronym in this note that has me baffled and Google is not supplying an answer. So, please, tell what the following means... after all, it was in huge letters and circled at the bottom of this note! We're beside ourselves trying to figure this out:

W/B/S/A/P

What is that??? What does that mean? The only clue I got from searching was that it stands for Workload Based Staffing Analysis Program. Yeah, i don't think that's what is meant here. So? Someone tell me!!!

I'm not so sure about "Write back soon as possible" entirely. It could be it, but wouldn't it seem to make more sense by adding in "as" like WBASAP? I'm thinking it's a password or what not, but that's just me.

Notes? I thought all preteens nowadays just text each other through there overly expensive cell phones their parents pay for.

In the coal mining towns of central Pennsylvania, expensive cell phones are virtually non-existent due to the demographics of the local inhabitants. Therefore, the passing of notes is the most efficient mode of communication between the children :,-(
