we are trying to set up a keeper league and initially have established a
the round you take the player is the round he will be kept for the following season, however, since we have unlimited terms for keepers, how do u correct this problem for the years afterwards?
i want to do the round taken is round kept, but another manager believes only way around it is to reserve rounds 1-5 for keepers. then proceed with the draft as normal.
any ideas, or similar setups with solutions

A possibility beyond the two you've both mentioned:
Each year the round increases, so you keep the 8th pick, the next year it will be considered the 7th pick, then the 6th pick and so on.

decent concept, but what about when you draft someone like
david wright in the 20th round?
you keep him at 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14 still no sacrifice there.
