I like my team... but what do you think?

Postby babaoriley7 » Thu Mar 16, 2006 3:07 pm

I just finished my auction draft for a h2h league. I think i'll go good and finish in the top half. I have some speed questions and I have some hopeful comebacks as far as starting pitching is concerned, but overall I think I have a very competative team. What do you think?

C - Jorge Posada
1B - David Ortiz
2B - Luis Castillo
SS - Miggy Tejada
3B - Scott Rolen
OF - Jim Edmonds
OF - Torii Hunter
OF - Pedro Feliz
UTIL - Magglio Ordonez

SP - Roy Halladay
SP - Jason Schmidt
RP - Jason Isringhausen
RP - Todd Jones
P - Curt Schilling
P - Jake Westbrook
P - Greg Maddux

Bench - Johnny Gomes
Bench - Mike Gonzalez
Bench - Cliff Floyd
Bench - Jorge Sosa
Bench - Jon Lieber

Never have done a auction draft, but your team looks solid, not much I'd change with it. I really like Sosa this year (Not just b/c I'm a Braves man.) I would look at my SB however

Don't know where your SB are going to come from and the back end of your SP rotation is questionable. Other than that though I think you have a pretty solid team and should compete towards the top half in your league.

Thanks for the help with mine

i think your team is good, but you need to upgrade your offense if possible. like mentioned earlier, you need to find more speed. as well as this, i think you have a few question marks like magglio, rolen. make sure you are ready to back them up. would not hurt to go after a bopper, so all in all...good pitching but make a push to improve offense

would appreciate your help:

You don't really have any speed. I would focus on getting some high average, high speed players.

Steals are definately weak. I think Castillo should give me a dozen and hunter might give me another 20.... One guy in our league has Podsednick, Reyes and Iguchi so steals were hard to come by. I think the first guys i'll switch out are Maddux and Westbrook, and hopefully I can find a new closer or a solid SP that wasn't drafted.

I would think i could get 65 steals from my team, the position guys I have should all steal somewhere between 5-15 and Hunter should exceed that. (ortiz and posada won't provide any help though...)

Schill is also risky. So I think you might want to find depth in both pitching departments.
