Looks pretty solid to me, though your middle infield could use a little work (I don't trust Roberts to do much this year, and Loretta may be crap too. And Reyes can't stay healthy). Is J.J. Hardy available, I know a lot of people are high on him. Or you could take a flier on Barmes. Also, I don't think Austin Kearns has any business being on a team at this point, there should be someone better availalbe.

Your pitching is solid, but for a 10 team league, your offense leaves quite a bit to be desired. I would try and upgrade your OF some, maybe trade one of your SP to bring in a top 20 OF. Then drop Green and pick someone up off the waiver wire.

Solid team except with a few things, With only 10 teams you need to cut Kearns possible other good OF's are Gomes TB, Patterson Bal, Jones CHC, those 3 are all going to do solid. Also Barmes from Col is a solid SS you might be able to get.

Thanks for the advice. Anyone I should pick up off the waiver wire, especially if Clemens retires and I need to drop him? Who else do I drop if I pick someone up?

Wow I found this that I wrote about my 2006 team in March 2006 and had to say that I ended up winning my league this year! I did find some of the comments interesting, but even more so is that my final team is a bit different. No doubt the team you have on draft day should not be the team you end up with if you expect to win your league. My final winning team is....

SPing- good, but not great. Johan & the D-train very nice, but after that is not very impressive.
RPing- average. Hoffman is great, Cordero is okay, but MacD & Valv are shaky.
C- awesome
1B- not a Sexson fan, he will kill your average, and k's
2B- like Roberts
SS- Reyes is a stud
3B- Rolen can still play, IMO
CI, MI, & UT- Konerko is very solid, Loretta may not an everyday player, and Morneau is a stud.
OF- Beltran is a stud, Bonds will do good this yar, but after that I am not impressed.

Overall, its a good team, not great, and kinda old (Clemens, Bonds, Hoffman, but ya got alot of quality players.

perhaps some of you are misunderstanding this being posted again..please look at the date and then scroll down!

I REPOSTED this which I originally wrote in March 06 just to compare how my team started and how i finished.....again...my previous post yesterday has my final team...indeed, my originally weak offense did improve...just an excercise here in comparing thoughts from a year ago.
