The one area that concerns me is relief pitching. I think Jenks will be mediocre this year and Foulke could implode at any second. That's where I would try and upgrade.

Your MI and CI slots are kind of iffy - but for now, I'd just sit on them and see how they do (and see how JJ Hardy is doing). See if you can trade Kenji Johjima to someone who didn't get a decent catcher - might be worth a good 1B to sub in either for DeJesus or Morneau.

Otherwise, it looks pretty good. Actually, scratch that... it looks very good. How in the world did you manage to get Teixera, Santana, and Utley, all in a 12-team draft?

The good: Well-rounded starting pitching, Johjima may surprise and become trade bait
To improve: Closers and JD Drew

Your OF doesn't have a lot of pop, but you have solid power up and down your line-up, that should help. Your pitching is good but I would maybe try and trade Jenks in a package for a solid closer. IMHO, Jenks is overhyped right now and you will get more value out of him than he is worth.

Solid team, I like your mixture of solid players(TEX,Santana) with some comeback guys(Nomar,Schilling) and a couple of rooks or just young studs (Hardy, Mauer).

Ways I think you can improve, Trade Mauer for a solid closer, Hoffman if you can grab him would be good. Johjima is a good catcher I looked at his japan numbers he hits over 300 on AVG and has been hitting anywhere from 25 to 35 homers and about 85 RBI's not great numbers but for a catcher they are good.

Also dont listen to them on Drew, he has said he feels as good and is as healthy as he has been in about 4 years I.E. year with the Braves. Besides that with Furcal leading off that will help his RBI's.


I love your CI and MI 12 teams with 6 infield spots id alot and you walked away with solid at all 6 plus 1 extra. Like I said Mauer for a closer will really help and I might even go as far as hitting up Hardy and package him with a SP for a upgrade there. But if not you should survive
