16 Team Keeper: Real Deep League and I need your opinions...

I just drafted in a 16 team league with 4 keepers. I got the first pick so that threw my strategy for a loop. It is a H2H league with all major statistical categories except wins/losses for pitchers. I think my OF is weak and also my RP are weak too, but the talent has been picked bone dry. Thanks for any and all advice!!

I like you offense, I think it will do well in a 16 team league. Your closers seem to lack a little with Guardado having a bad rotator cuff and Wickman just being Wickman. I think there are better options out there besides LaRue... Is McCann/Willingham/Doumit available, I think all will our preform him.

Yea I would do that. If Schneider is available too...drop LaRue for him as well.

I think you can swing Encarncion later on in the year for some more OF help.

I'd keep Zimmerman since he will be a killer in avg and you seem to have a good amount of HRs with Blalock, pujols, Wilson, etc.

I agree with Intense about the Catcher position.

Make sure to stay on top of Mota, and Putz if they are still available. I'm guessing all of the other closers are gone, but even a Weathers or Orvella may be better than Wickman.

Your OF isn't loaded with studs but its good. A good pick up for a closer is the rookie for ATL (forgot his name) he's already the set up man - he's been lights out this spring.

Like Zimm in your bench as you may have some ave. problems. Have no experience in 16 team leagues thought, but after Pujols, don't see many .300 hitters, if any.

If you need help in the outfield and the pickings are slim, keep an eye on Reggie Sanders - he'll be batting cleanup in KC and if he's healthy he's capable of 25+ HR 100 RBI & 20 or so SB.
