Ok, every year my dad and his co-workers set up a roto league called "No-Sweat Fantasy Baseball". The premise of the league is that they draft around 30 man rosters and then have no transactions during the season, hence the "No-Sweat". There are however, two supplemental drafts during the year in which managers may drop and add any previously undrafted players. Then, at the end of the year, each manager selects a given number of "keepers" to use towards his final stats. The final standings are then computed using only those keepers.
For the past few years, they have run the league on CBS, as the league allows you to make retroactive roster changes. This is needed, because when managers select players at the supplemental drafts, they receive the players full season stats, not just from that point on as in most leagues. So now I have a few questions...
1. In previous years, the in-season standings really mean nothing, as they include all 30 players on each roster in the stats. After the end of season cutoff where each manager selects his "keepers", the standings undergo a drastic change. The commish wants to have it so that it is a little more exciting during the year and the standings actually mean something. Is there any possible way to do this based on the league set up?
2. Also, is this type of league possible on Yahoo? Basically, can a commish edit teams' rosters so that added players receive their full season stats, even those prior to transaction? And is there a way to only include a certain number of players towards the final standings, using their full season stats?
Thanks again for any input...
