Postby dipset » Wed Mar 15, 2006 8:49 pm

I have heard this guys name mentioned a few times now. Who is he and what does he do well? I saw he was a 1pick overall, so he must have talent. Does he have a chance at starting and what does he bring to the table cuase he is available and im thinking of grabing him.

Well, he does EVERYTHING well. The only problem is if he's going to get to play in the bigs from the start. If he does then he'll be a 5 cat player for many many years.

He is in Albert Pujols terrority..thats how good he is. I would suggest searching baseball America for articles on him. They have had some decent stories on him this past year

Just to clarify, he's certainly not a #1 pick overall in a majors draft this year. Minors draft, absolutely. He will be very good. He is a 5 tool player in terms of real baseball and probably a 5 cat contributor in fantasy.

In a redraft league he is almost useless right now, in a keeper league you should use everything at your disposal to get him.

I've heard he's Ken Griffey Jr's clone when Griffey was young and healthy.

More base stealing ability...maybe a bit less power but maybe not. Griffey's a good comparison though...hopefully Young doesn't have the same health issues. :-o

with the DRays OF so incredibly crowded....do you see them trading Gathright and E.Dukes sometime at the end of spring training or are they going to again keep them in the minors? Both have super potential as well!

An addendum. If you're in a h2h league, and you're extremely confident of making the postseason even with a roster slot wasted, is it worth getting Delmon now to have him for the playoffs?
