How about this guy...he is on fire this spring. If he keeps it up he will be batting 5th or 6th behind Dunn.

15 for 31, 4 2B, 6 HR, 14 RBI, 3 BB, 5 K, 1 SB, .543 OBP, 1.258 SLG, .484 AVG

He might make a great last round pick

he won't last until the last round. he would have made a great last round pick if he'd done nothing all spring, but now...people will overvalue him. i think he's a nice grab in the round 16-20 range.

I think he will be overvalued by people. I think he can put together a nice season, i already had him on my bench before spring training started in one of my deeper leaguers.

would any of you guys drop frank thomas for him? keep in mind my league is h2h and uses walks and OPS (over AVG). or would you drop brad penny for him? i got glaus at 3b so i could use a backup/utility 3b.

what are the projected numbers for him?

I'd drop Frank Thomas for him, then again I'd drop Frank Thomas for just about anyone.

I picked up Encarnacion in the 22nd round the other day. I'm not expecting big things, but who knows?

Glaus is no stranger to the DL
It might be a good idea to have a backup...Thomas is a OPS and BB machine though. I would not drop Thomas because you have BB and OPS.
I think in terms of HRs you can expect 25 from edwin.
I got no idea what your pitching staff looks like but unless there are a handfull of free agents that compare to Penny I would not make that move either.
