Atlanta's Joey Devine has 14 strikeouts in seven innings. He could fight for the closer job, he could easily overtake Chris Reitsma if he starts the season out strong.
Manager Bobby Cox told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Devine is in the running to be the Braves' closer. Devine hasn't allowed an earned run in eight innings this spring and picked up the save Wednesday. Fantasy Source spin: Sleeper alert, sleeper alert, sleeper alert. I'm among the doubters when it comes to Chris Reitsma, so Devine is looking like an excellent late-round pick. (Chris Bahr/TSN)
There is something on ESPN insider about the Braves bullpen but I dont have insider. can someone check and see what it is if anything? I have Reitsma and am trying to follow the closer job
They are talking about trading John Thompson for some bullpen help. I don't really know how I feel about that. Is that saying they are not comfortable with the closer's role and looking for an upgrade??? They should just let Devine go with it (especially since I have him on my fantasy team ).
