Since when is a 3/4 delivery that unusual? Sidearm is far more unusual.

Great story, with the liberal Euro kicker to boot about not caring much about the money itself. Yeah to further internationalization of baseball, if he ever makes it to the majors hopefully he'll help in making the sport just a little more popular in Holland.

They mean his release point from that high, as him being 7'1" would create a different looking angle for hitters.

Well it did help him be one of the top prospects in the minors, injuries is his down fall like many pitchers. When your so tall you have more moving parts in your delivery making it harder to be consistent which sometimes causes injuries.

right. and being that tall/long also means that you're releasing the ball several inches closer to the plate than most pitchers.
