Sony just announced this today. Technical issues.

It has to do with the copyright protection on their new blu-ray discs. If they could have released the system sooner it would have devastated microsoft. The Xbox 360 is still in very short supply, and the PS3 would have taken all of the excitement away from the 360.

Just as long as it doesn't cost 600-700 dollars as some people were predicting. :-/

When I'm paying as more for a game system then i did for my first car (inflation hasn't been that bad in the last ten years) then i know something is wrong.

I'll probably get the PS3 but I might wait a little bit after it comes out to get it for the price to go down. I can't afford spending 600-700 bucks on a video game console.

I'll probably end up getting the PS3 in the middle of 2008 or something, I have to wait for all the hacks to come out first and the price to deflate... :-B
