Is .500 optimistic?

12 team H2H 5x5 scoring/ salary cap/keep 4(get discount with your 4 keepers)/cats -AVG.- HR- RBI- RUNS -STEALS/W- ERA- K- WHIP- SVS Salary cap of $280...salaries pre-set, Sporting News prices. Please feel free to give advice. I realize it's difficult not knowing all the players' prices, but am I being optimistic when I expect a .500 season. I feel like I have the "all-injured" team. Also, besides Peavy, my pitching staff should be called the "diaper dandies." I went cheap on pitching b/c most of the aces were "kept" by the other teams in my league. It's a tight cap so you kinda have to take chances and go cheap in some areas. I just hate gambling with pitching. I think I drafted the "all-hype" rookie squad as my starters. What do you think? Thanks for any suggestions.

You certainly are gambling with pitching. You're very weak when it comes to steals and runs, but I like your power and average. I would expect an extremely slow start for you since you are relying on a lot of prospects, but I think you'll do better in the second half. I think you could manage .500 this year.

I like Wagner to have a good year, but I'd be worried about Jones breaking down ... might pay to have his back-up.
