I'm looking to fill the role of my 6th starting pitcher. Our categories are ERA, WHIP, Wins, K's, and SV's.
What I'm looking for is a guy to stash on my bench for the future unless one of my top 5 get hurt (or in some other emergency).

The top guys that I am looking at are: Oliver Perez, Jake Peavy, and Brad Penny.

Which is the best bet for long term potential, while still having a good chance to have a very solid 2003 season?
If there are others I haven't named feel free to mention them, whether they may have been selected or not.

What about somebody like Cliff Lee or Rafael Soriano?

I like Perez this year, Peavy for career. Lee and Soriano arent assured spots yet.

Penny has an awful delivery and has already got an injury history that's pretty scary. I like both Padres' prospects. I like Peavy slightly better, maybe not for 2003, but definetely for later.
