I'm most likely starting him, but what do you think I can expect from him today?

.2 innings, 9 hits, 5 walks, 10 earned runs, and you get to watch the trainers sew his arm back on so he can try to finish the inning! :-b

Just kidding. :-D I'd say probably something like 7 inn., 3 er, 9 hits, 1 bb, 7 k's.

The back to back homers by Edmonds and Pujols really rattled him.

Damn, I'm gonna check the wind conditions before Prior's start. That is just scary. Clement had that god awful wind game postponed, no such luck for Wood.

Maybe I can get him cheap now.

I don't think that you can really blame the wind for Wood getting lit up; I'd blame his 6 walks and only one K. He's a guy that has to dominate and get 1-2 Ks an inning to have a good start. He could have kept the score from running up if he struck the guys out instead of letting them make contact and could have limited the damage if he didn't walk so many runners.

Clement's disaster was more a case of it being a torrential monsoon when the game was played and the weather preventing his sinker from sinking properly, turning it into batting practise.

Well, I didn't see any of the game, but it was on ESPN radio and the announcer said it was windy and it could be a high scoring game with the direction it was blowing.

I'll start Prior every game, since he is what I based my draft around. I will live and die with the guy. I also have his opponent, Woody Williams, who will remain on the bench.
