I was looking around WBC stats and ST stats today and I come up to this gem.

Oliver Perez 1ip 0 hit 3 bb 3 k

Is this the kind of Oliver we are gonna see again this year? The wild Oliver Perez that has no control who load up the bases with walks in an inning then strike out the side?

Projections and Analyses would be nice

I may be a little more optimistic than most, but I was encouraged when I heard he acknowledged he was lazy last offseason and made a mistake by not playing winter ball, and that he played winter ball this year. Sounded to me like he got a bit of an attitude after his breakout and thought it was all downhill from there. I'm hopeful that he'll toss 180 innings with at least 10 wins, 170 k's and an ERA around 3.5. However, I think the WHIP will be fairly high, say 1.4 or so as he'll probably walk quite a few.

drafted him in the 18th round, we'll see what happens. I won't be starting him until he has some success.

He'll have a nice bounceback effect IMO. I see RJ type K numbers with 15 Wins and a sub 3 ERA.

I don't see why not! But not this year... a year or two with proper off-season conditioning, and he'll be back to 2004 numbers.
