The issue with Drew is not just that he gets injured -- but his psychological threshold for injury is very low.
In StL. LaRussa literally used to just shake his head and grin at the reasons that Drew found to sit out. Sure, he's had some genuine issues. No question. But he'd also miss 20+ games just on the basis of his mild hypocondria.

fool me once, shame on you.
fool me twice, shame on me.
drew is just a big tease. i've had enough and moved on. pick yourself up a javy vazquez, preston wilson, magglio ordonez, or extra closer instead.

3rd OF only if you have to.
If there are steadier, healthier options out there - take em.

.. and make sure not to pick yourself up a Preston Wilson

i like preston wilson in minute maid...its more homer friendly for right handed hitters than coors. his 25hr/90rbi will come dirt cheap.

I really like Preston this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see a return to 30+ homeruns in that ballpark.
That said, Drew is a very good pick that late. I wouldn't want to rely on him, but he can be a top outfielder if healthy.

Huge difference with Preston, as he's going undrafted in some leagues. If JD is available late, than awesome. I'd say expecting him to be a 3rd OF is perhaps exaggerating his usefulness. What do you expect out of him, .280 with 20 HRs and 80/80? That's close to WW material in a 12 teamer. Not worth a mid-round pick.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

How is J.D. "I'm Screwed" underrated, because after he disappoints that is what you will be saying. "Man my team is so J.D. Drewed"!
Draft him PLEASE!
