I know my pitching is weak...but i drafted reliable bats feeling i could get solid starting pitching on the ww...I have my eye on cabbera from baltimore...lieber is also there...what do you guys think??

I like your bats, but am concerned with your staff. Too much risk it seems in the top of the rotation. May need some help. Would look ok in a 12 team format. I like the strategy though and pretty good, i feel.

Never played in a 8 teamer but my 12 teamers have better SP than that. Halladay is an ace though and I wouldn't worry bout him, his leg appears fine, and you're right you can probably get solid pitching on the WW and you'll have too. 2 stud RPs. Is there a holds stat though? Someone like Scot Shields or Linebrick would be nice.

Rolen is nice to have on the bench, he could have alot of value half way through the season if he's stays healthy and put up good numbers and some other team has had 3B injuries.

well going by the h2h strategy of picking up bats and strong rp, you did very well...i love your team as the only weakness i see is hillebrand as a backup 1b...but then again he is a backup...i think your pitching is great actually, but you left enough to make some moves

dont worry about your pitching too much, I think that hitting is more important especially in head to head leagues. But do pick up Dcab, Leo Mazzone is going to turn him into an Ace.

for an 8-team league, it looks okay.
Your piching is pretty good, but it could be better. Maybe you can get a good pitcher in a trade with Bonds. You still have rolen and freel on your bench.

really nice hitting...having bench depth is a real plus! Once the season starts I'd probably try and pick-up some pitching help. I always like to start a team based on hitting so you're off to a good start!

Hitting in an 8-team head-to-head league is essential, as it is far more consistent on a week-to-week basis than pitching. One 9 run/5 inning performance from a starter, and your ERA/WHIP will have trouble rebounding for the week.

I'm sure your pitching is in the bottom 1/4 of the league as it stands, but I like your two closers. Be sure to stock up on a cheaper save guy, like a Reitsma or a C.Ray, who is probably still available on your wire. I love Halladay, and think he's going to have a lot of bang for wherever you drafted him. Schmidt is a pretty calculated risk, but something about him to me as always screamed "steroids." Mostly baseless, but he has lost some velocity.

I'm fine with Weaver and Bedard, but they probably deserve a spot on the waiver wire of an 8-team league. See if you can't package Bay/Schmidt or something comparable for Santana, and you'll be set. Wright might also be a good bargaining chip for a top SP, as Rolen will fit just fine into the hot corner in such a league. Good draft overall.
