Impossible. Even traffic free, you'll get held up once you get South of Westchester/Rockland County. It's slow moving down there, plus any pull over by the police would kill your chances by default. On top of it all, you'd have a much easier time finding a pretzel than a hot dog at 4:30 - 5 am.
It'll be hard to chop off a good 2 hours worth of driving by just driving fast (at a rate that you won't get pulled over atleast). You can probably do it if you left a few hours earlier though and even if it's not a bet, it'd be funny to waltz into school with a [fairly] fresh NYC hot dog.

Dude... I used to LOVE that bar/resturant "The Grog" in Newburyport... haven't been there in a long time though (having two kids does that to a guy).
Yeah that's still one of the best restaurants downtown. Not Your Average Joe's moved in to the firehouse where Ciro's used to be(if you know where I mean) and I think they took away quite a bit of business from them.
