He keeps changing settings and not telling anyone. I've had to do predraft research about 4 times now and every time he comes back and changes something, not telling the leauge or letting the league vote.

What would you do? I'm thinking about backing out of the league and spending my $$$ for fantasy elsewhere.

I had this exact thing happen to me last year. $200 entry, $5 add fee, 14 team league, so pretty big money involved. Settings were changed less than 24 hours before the draft, significantly devaluing K pitchers. I unfortunately did not notice until after the draft and complained like hell. Amazingly, I was the only one who complained on the message board.

You really have two options. The first is to quit. (In my case it was quit and not pay) The second is to ride it out and keep your mouth shut.

I chose option two for several reasons. If you ride it out, you may be able to take these suckers money these year and again next year. With over 2500 posts and a strong cafe member you should do pretty well in your league, even with teh fluctuating settings. Another reason to ride it out is becuase of your relationships with the people in the league. In my case, my league mates could develop into strong professional contacts down the road. I didn't want 13 other potential clients/referrals to be pissed at me.

Frankly, if you are young and dont know the guys in your league that well I would quit.

BTW, I won my league last year (over $1000) and I plan on taking those suckers money again this year.

You gotta bounce. I would get out of their fast, if he is willing to do this now, whats the season gong to be like. This is your money, if you are uncomfortable with him now, how do you know he ain't going to jack your money and run (had a prob with this once)

You should 'depreciate' your payment by whatever percentage of categories he is fooling around with. Or just blow it off. I can see that it PROBABLY wouldn't make THAT much difference, if he's just switching say AVG and OBP but flipping categories around would be annoying as every time he does it you'd have to twiddle your list a bit.

No but seriously, keep talking to him on the message board and maybe you can knock some sense into him. Talking about it normally helps and i bet the rest of the league will agree with you. If nothing comes of that, I would just ride it out and win next year.
