My money leauge commish is going crazy

Postby chadlincoln » Fri Mar 10, 2006 12:52 pm

He keeps changing settings and not telling anyone. I've had to do predraft research about 4 times now and every time he comes back and changes something, not telling the leauge or letting the league vote. I traded down some of my picks to another guy and the commish was mad about it (I'm in his division). He said he's going to email the other owner (one of his friends) and talk to him about it. He said he's probably going to reverse it. We're 5 days away from draft time and he's still talking about changing settings.

Now if this happens in a free yahoo league, I'm mad but I'm cool with it. This is a $50 entry fee, $1 per transaction league and this guy is running it like he's god. I'm not going to shell out money to be in a dictatorship.

What would you do? I'm thinking about backing out of the league and spending my $$$ for fantasy elsewhere.

Walk away. The tricks won't stop here and will most likely continue throughout the season. Don't knowingly walk into this situation.

I agree - better to back out. It doesn't sound like you are having fun.

On the other hand, a league discussion/post might not be a bad idea as well.

When you play for money, it's better not to be in a league with someone like that. Find another league.

It's an obvious choice to me. You leave the league. So the draft is only 5 days away and they may not be able to find another owner. Well that is on the commish. He isn't conducting himself in an ethical manner and should actually be removed from his position, but the least you can do is leave the league.

Or take it over. I would settle for one of the two and nothing else.

It's the commish's job to make the league work for EVERYONE in the league and to take everyone's opinions into account. It makes the job a lot harder, but in the end it's worth it. If he's too worried about his own team then he shouldn't be commish or you shouldn't be in the league.
