Uh, DOH!!! How dumb am I.
Thanks chadlincoln for help with the DL roster slot.
I wonder if there is someone who wasn't drafted because of a recent surgery, who will be a valuable starter in a few months once he recovers from his injury. Are there any players who are already on the DL now, and who I could add and hide via my DL roster spot now? Or, do I have to wait till opening day to find the players listed as being on the DL?
Thanks again for the help!

Many do that. They pick up people who start on the DL (although yahoo won't list that until the season begins) and then shift them to the lineup when they are ready. So you could draft someone you know is injured, shift them to DL when the season begins and then fill the empty spot with a real player.
