Or, you could target someone more risky like Fielder
Fielder is actually a FA. Is Fielder better risk than Jacobs?

As I continue to check out the spring games, I see that Ari might have another guy(Carter) to split time at 1st with Clark and Jackson... so right now, Clark seems to be the guy who I'd cut first.

Should I cut Clark and pick up Seo?

Fielder is a very good risk as long as you aren't relying on him.

To answer your original question though, a team who has its stats spread out over all the players is much better than one that has a couple big SB guys and a couple big HR guys. You are a lot less susceptibile to off years and injuries that way.
