Mexico just dropped Canada like a bad habit (9-1). So now Roger Clemens (in possibly his last competive baseball game) and the rest of the future HOFers on team USA just need to take care of bussiness against the ameuters of South Africa.

If USA hadn't blown that game against Cananda I would be routing for the upset, but with elimination on the line i gotta support the Red White and Blue. I cannot stoumach another repeat of the Athens Basketball experience.

As a Brit, I'm really happy to see baseball played at international level - finally. I think the format needs more work (why play it in March? Couldn't it have been played in February instead?), but it's a start.

Overall, I'm hoping one of the Latin teams wins it all, as it appears to mean more to them than to a somewhat lethargic USA? A Dominican - Venezuela rematch in the final would be great entertainment...

Roger is a sad old man. I would love to see him leave the game by getting shelled by South Africa :-b

He's a Cardinal fan favorite.

I could have swore that last week I read the tiebreaker was ERA. :-?

Are you sure you're not confused with Yahoo's tiebreaker? ;-)
