I read in ESPN the magazine that they project this guy to be "Heltonesque at 3B". He had a huge day today, and I can't name the Rockies 3rd basemen off the top of my head. Any chance this guy sticks with a big spring?
Well, the Rockies 3B as of right now, iirc, is Garrett Atkins.
Ian Stewart is their stud prospect, though. I have no clue about the Rockies and what they do, though. If it's my guess, I could see them leaving Stewart in the minors and seeing what Atkins has.. however, I'll probably be wrong.

That's right- Atkins. I guess Stewart would need an absolute monster spring to outplay Garrett. I was thinking of putting Stewart down as a sleeper, but maybe not yet, eh?

Not that I think it's a fair comparison, but didn't Pujols have limited experience above A-ball going into the spring he won ROY? This kid looked great today...
In all fairness, Atkins is a pretty good young player as well,.
That said, anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE supporter of Ian Stewart and am disgusted that he has dropped out of the top 5 prospects in some minor league drafts. This year there is no chance, but I see Atkins moving to the outfield next year.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
