When do you take Bonds?

Postby cmh6476 » Wed Mar 08, 2006 4:16 pm

how far do you let him slide? I posted this in another forum, but it's not getting as much attention as this forum is. I'm new here so you'll have to excuse me if I'm posting stuff in the wrong place.

I just passed on Bonds in the 6th, and am wondering if I should hop on and grab him if he comes back around to me. Standard 12-man 5 x 5 league.

Is he worth the risk?

I took him with my 5th/6th back to back picks in a 10 teamer but I'm starting to regret it. :-o

there are already a couple threads like this one:

use the search function. ;-D

i think generally people start seeing him go off the board around the 6th round. i would think about taking him there if i was in need of an outfielder. i wouldnt want him as my #1 OF though and i would make sure to have a quality backup if i did draft him. i think he is definitely worth gambling on in the 8-10th rounds. you will probably get first round production for about 100-120 games. mix in some wily mo who you can get pretty late and you should have a productive outfield platoon.

well since we have 2 more owners, that would be at least 10 picks later than where you got him. Still too early?
