12 team Yahoo league, deep rosters, cats are standard 5x5 + holds and OBP. The other players seem relatively good for a Yahoo public league, though one guy missed the draft and ended up with 9 starting pitchers in the first like 12 rounds. ;)

Let me know what you think, and leave a link to your team if you'd like me to rate it.

C - Javy López (Bal - C)
1B - Jason Giambi (NYY - 1B)
2B - Placido Polanco (Det - 2B,3B)
3B - Hank Blalock (Tex - 3B)
SS - Jimmy Rollins (Phi - SS)
CI - Lyle Overbay (Tor - 1B)
MI - Bill Hall (Mil - 2B,3B,SS)
OF - Miguel Cabrera (Fla - 3B,OF)
OF - Jason Bay (Pit - OF)
OF - Aubrey Huff (TB - 1B,OF)
OF - Trot Nixon (Bos - OF)
OF - Jason Michaels (Cle - OF)
Util - Mike Cameron (SD - OF)
Util - Delmon Young (TB - OF)
BN - Jason Kendall (Oak - C)
BN - Ronny Cedeño (ChC - SS)

SP - Mark Prior (ChC - SP)
SP - Doug Davis (Mil - SP)
RP - Brad Lidge (Hou - RP)
RP - Eddie Guardado (Sea - RP)
P - Derrick Turnbow (Mil - RP)
P - Scot Shields (LAA - RP)
P - Akinori Otsuka (Tex - RP)
P - Damaso Marte (Pit - RP)
P - Andrew Sisco (KC - RP)
P - Glendon Rusch (ChC - SP,RP)
P - Aaron Harang (Cin - SP)
BN - Matt Clement (Bos - SP)
BN - Jorge Sosa (Atl - SP,RP)
BN - Carl Pavano (NYY - SP)

There's like an 1800 inning limit, so I'm planning on dropping Jason Kendall for another middle reliever. I just don't want to waste waiver priority on that (I drafted 12th), so I gotta wait another day or two. I've also gotta see if there are any decent 1B's or DH's to replace Mike Cameron (or possibly one of the young OF's) with as Util. On the other hand, I might just wait until the season starts and I can DL Pavano - assuming he starts the season there.

As far as offense goes the ony gap I see is lack of speed. You have Rollins and Bay, then there's a big drop off. Since this is a deep roster, maybe you can afford another young to upgrade you SBs. See if Gathright is still out there.

Pitching looks good expect that's Prior dependent. Once again, these are deep rosters giving you room to try a rookie pitcher.

your offense isnt great but your pitching is solid at the top....you need to package giambi and another bat for a bigger bat

You're squad looks nice, however I think you should try to deal for a stud SP... Maybe package Prior and someone else if they value him high. It seems like every year hes getting hurt, maybe you can end up w/someone like Oswalt/Peavy which should better your staff and decrease injury risks.

Yeah, unfortunately I almost *had* to take Prior. I like to get one ace in the first 5 rounds, along with 4 offensive players, and everyone who I might consider an ace (including Sheets, Zambrano, and Randy Johnson) were all taken, other than Prior. On the other hand, at least he has upside. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone else values him very highly either, so I may have to stand pat.

As for Giambi, well... I got him fairly late in the draft, and I happen to think he'll be good for a comeback this year. Again, I think that his value to other teams is probably less than his value to me, so I'll probably have to stand pat on him as well. Maybe I can upgrade Overbay, though...

And I'll watch the waivers for some more speed. Guys like Cameron and Bill Hall and Delmon Young should provide some speed, but those are, of course, guys I'm not too attached to, so if I can upgrade, all the better.
