how do you think i did? anything that you think i need in particular? i think i have a surplus of OF's and could trade one for something else, a middle infielder perhaps.
your offense has some holes in it but overall you did a pretty decent job....you have enough pitching to trade for some offense especially in the infield
Clay, your team is overall solid. You have a good mix of young players and veterans. I would, however, try and get a 1B because I do not know how much you can trust Morneau. Althoughy your OF is just scary right now, you may have to let one go.
I'd get rid of Morneau as well. Try one of the rook 1Bers in his place maybe? Shelton/Fielder? or trade for another 1B. I like your SP alot. I like the young players you have as well with Bay and Lopez, Crawford, ect. very nice draft especially for a keeper.
Clay, your team is definitely solid and balanced. If you need a 1B, I'm looking for either an outfielder or a starting pitcher, so hit me up with a trade offer.
Overall, I think your team is fairly well balanced... not only between hitting and pitching, but also between reliable guys (Lee, Halladay, Pettite, Crawford) and guys with alot of upside (D. Cabrera, Barmes, Morneau).
I would hold onto Morneau. He is still very young. He had a weird off-season the year before last... he had appendicitis and mono or something weird like that. I think he will come back to be a 30+ homerun guy.
I agree the team is very balanced, but unfortuantly, in my experience, balanced teams have problems in H2H league...other teams will be very one sided, and have a decent week in their 'punted' cats and beat you everytime.
I think I would stay pat until the year starts and you see what young guys you have.
I think you did okay, I agree you need a slightly better 1B, nothing to fancy, just a P. Fielder type or something. Getting another closer might help, but the price that good/decent ones go for would probably hurt the rest of your team too much for it to be worth it. Is Otsuka available in your league?
I think your team was well drafted. Your 3 OFs will take care of SBs for you and are ridiculous overall players. I'd agree with the others that a 1B would be a big advantage. That being said you might need 1 more power bat, which would probably be addressed at 1B. If you can put a package together for a 1st baseman that would be the best way to go, but obviously you can get great value for any of your OFs if you need to go that direction.
Your pitching looks good except for saves which is up in the air. I'd wait for Baldelli's return and then reevaluate your team. Hermida will be a nice keeper if you do deal an OF.
