NL Minor League Advice Needed

I'm new to the NL, taking over a team that has the #1 pick. The top players available are Upton ARI, Chris Young ARI, H.Ramirez FLA.

I'm leaning towards selecting Chris Young, my team is looking towards 2007. I'm not worried about 2006 production. I just think his possible 20/20 or 30/30 potential is too much to pass up. Upton might be great but I am doubtful he'll have a starting job that quickly. At least not before Young.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thank You.

I would not pass on Upton ... although there is no such thing as a "sure thing" w a prospect (who has a total of ~10 ST ab's for his professional career), he is too good - and there is such a drop-off in talent - not to grab.

I can't believe Pelfry (SP NYM) is not avail and who should be rated over Ramirez ... great if you could get him with your 2nd pick.

Yeah, go w/ Upton, not Chris Young. And yeah, maybe Pelfrey's available too for your 2nd pick.

It isn't even a question to me. Upton is by far and away the best player out of those three. His ceiling is 10 times higher than Youngs is as well.
