How'd I do? I plan on trading one of Sexson, Dunn, Konerko, or Glaus for an outfielder and/or a starting pitcher. Let me know of any areas of weakness besides a lack of SB.
you have alot of power but not alot of avg.....that may hurt you and you should look into getting a high avg. guy....otherwise you look ok and can definitely upgrade your pitching
While I do agree that I could probably use more average, I do have Cabrera (.323), Tejada (.304), Berkman (.293), Ramirez (.302), and Polanco (.331), who are all going to be very close to .300 if not above it.
Also, my pitching doesn't have a top of the rotation ace like Halladay or Oswalt, but I would argue that Buerhle, Lackey, and Myers are a pretty decent 1-2-3 combo. Add in the depth of 5 other solid starters and I'm not overly concerned about my starting pitching.
what a lineup! dunn for the best starter you could get is a move you should look to make... dunn will drag down avg. and you cant keep sexson on the bench... make a dunn deal and move aramis to 3rd, m-cab to OF and sexson to UT... you could def. use another good SP, but otherwise good team... please take a look at mine...
Thanks for the reply. I am definitely considering trading Dunn, but I'm worried that if he raises his average a mere 20 points (putting him at .270 with 50 HR power) that I will regret trading him. Plus, he is only 26. Makes it tough to trade him.
I agree that your team is looking good. Your pitching staff isn't that bad, but having an ace would be in your benefit. As the previous guy mentioned, you should move Ramirez to 3rd, and Cabrera to the outfield. Then try and trade one of your outfielders (I think the other guy mentions Dunn because of his average) for a star pitcher. Once that is done, maybe you can trade one of your other pitchers for a better catcher
I would trade away Sexson or Glaus for someone like Figgins. He'll get you sbs and you dont have to play Polanco at 2nd anymore. Also good pick with Valverde, I think he can become an elite closer.
