Who should I look to move?

Postby Domer14 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 6:20 pm

This is a ten person league, 5x5 Roto. Categories are RBI, R, HR, AVG, SB, WHIP, ERA, K, SV, W. I like my team, but I'm not sure if I should stay put or not.

C-Javy Lopez
1B-Albert Pujols
2B-Alfonso Soriano
3B-Hank Blalock
SS-Carlos Guillen
OF-Carlos Beltran, Adam Dunn, Magglio Ordonez
Util-Ryan Howard

BN-Jeff Francouer, Garret Anderson, Placido Polanco

SP- Roy Oswalt, Mark Prior, Mark Mulder, Zach Duke, Jorge Sosa, Brandon McCarthy
RP- Eric Gagne, Bob Wickman, Eddie Guardado

Any ideas?

I think you can do a lot better than Anderson on your bench. In a 10-person league, I bet there are lots of good guys remaining, with lots of potential. That said, I really like your starting position players, and the other guys on your bench (Francour could pay off big, and Polanco is very versatile). Your top 2 starting pitchers look good, but the there may be better guys than the other 4 available on waivers.

I would look to upgrade at shortstop. You might also want to look to trade some power for a high average hitter. But really nice pitchers.

i'd agree that you need to upgrade your SS, i'd be looking for a bit of speed too

currently i see only soriano and beltran contibuting in that cat, which won't be enough to be competitive in a 10-team league

i'd also say ordenez is a bit risky.

other then that, a very solid team!

I think you should trade Ryan Howard to upgrade your SS. Maybe you could nab Peralta or F. Lopez... somebody of that caliber for Howard.
