It's so tragic to see him leave us so young. I'll always remember him for the great man and fun ballplayer he was. Very sad. R.I.P. Kirby.

I always chose the number 34 in little league growing up. I used to have to send in my jersey to get the 34 on it (it normally only went to 12), but I always wanted Kirby's number. RIP man. :,-( :,-(

According to Wikipedia, Kirby is credited with giving Don Mattingly the nickname 'Donnie Baseball' ;-D
