Sleeper Minor Leaguers

Postby Webster11 » Mon Mar 06, 2006 8:18 pm

Just like how Major League fantasy drafts have sleepers who are some Minor League sleepers to be picked in the ladt few rounds? 20 team 20 round format. Thanks

A few I've found are Brandon Erbe (Bal) and Christian Garcia (NYY).

I don't know if this is too deep, but a guy that I like is Craig Italiano, SP, Oak. Best fastball in last years draft.

Some young sleepers:

Elvis Andrus - SS - Braves - might be a bit to hyped at this point though to be consider a sleeper
Jose Tabata - OF - Yanks
Fernando Matinez - OF - Mets
Rolando Pascual - SP - Brewers
Wade Davis - SP - Rays
Michael Bowden - SP - Red Sox

Those are some off the top of my head, but depending on how much your league knows about minors (since it is a deep league) they could be gone.

Italiano is a good one... try

Jake Stevens - SP - ATL

Lefty with a 95 MPH fastball and a nice knucklecurve to go with it. Was great a couple years ago, didn't fare so well last year, I like him to bounce back this year.

Brandon Jones - OF - ATL
Eric Campbell - 3B - ATL (Not really a sleeper...)
Maximiliano Ramirez - C - ATL (A lot of people seem to like him)
Luis Atilano - SP - ATL
Jose Ascanio - RP - ATL
