Family Guy stole their thunder. Family Guy is totally different, but they pretty much appeal to the same audience and it has hurt the Simpsons. That and you really can't write too many more things after 100 years.

Thats the biggest problem. family guy ios very differenty and therefore I don't see that beign the problem. The problem is that after 18 or so seasons, the writers are simply out of ideas. The jokes are not funny anymore, and I barely watch the new episodes simply because they are bad, boring, and not funny whatsoever anymore.

I still buy the DVDs though,. the first 12 or so seasons are gold and everyone should get them (when the other 5 come out).

yeah if its really a movie, thats just sad!!!! I was just thinking it was some fans who decided to put it together, then it was cool. But its actually a movie.....LAME
