Yahoo 12 team roto league, 5x5 scoring. I loaded up on catchers at the end, mainly because there weren't too many better options at the time. Also, I was hoping someone would need a catcher and would come to me for a trade which would involve me receiving RP in return. Which catcher or two should I keep and how should I go about acquiring another closer? Just out of curiosity, what is everyone's opinion on Jeremy Reed? Thanks.

My Draft:
5. M. Ramírez
20. C. Carpenter
29. R. Oswalt
44. R. Harden
53. J. Cantú
68. H. Blalock
77. T. Hoffman
92. J. Lugo
101. J. Edmonds
116. A. Huff
125. B. Giles
140. C. Young
149. T. Hunter
164. B. Crosby
173. R. Hernández
188. P. Lo Duca
197. D. Johnson
212. R. Baldelli
221. S. Shields
236. J. Guillén
245. J. Kendall

So my team looks like this:

C R. Hernández
1B A. Huff
2B J. Cantú
3B H. Blalock
SS J. Lugo
OF M. Ramírez
OF J. Edmonds
OF B. Giles
Util T. Hunter
BN B. Crosby
BN P. Lo Duca
BN D. Johnson
BN R. Baldelli
BN J. Guillén
BN J. Kendall

SP C. Carpenter
SP R. Oswalt
RP T. Hoffman
RP S. Shields
P. Harden
P C. Young
P --empty--

Catchers aren't going to get you anything in return. People will just stick with what they have, as no catcher after the top 3-5 is worth trading for.

Bobby Crosby is someone people might want, as is Baldelli.

Just something to note, drafting 3 pitchers in the first 4 rounds is not a good idea. If you had only taken 2 SPs in the first 4 rounds, you could have nabbed a top notch 1B, which would have given you a very strong offense.

Trade one of your starters for an SP, and drop D Johnson and Lo Duca so you can pick up some pitching.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

too much pitching too early, turned out decent though. a team lacking an ace will overpay for 1 of ur 3. id say trade carp for a lesser sp (cliff lee, webb, beckett, burnett etc) + a major bat
