I wouldn't call him under or over-rated, but I definitely don't see him performing above middle-to-late second round value.
Multi-position eligibility is only useful if it is between two positions with similar depth and value in absolute terms. Guys with 2B/SS eligibility or 3B/OF eligibility fit this mold. Figgins' 2B/3B/OF eligibility is essentially useless, because he has significantly more value at 2B than anywhere else. So you can throw that out the window when judging his value.
I certainly can't see him improving on last year's numbers, but there's a good chance he will still be a top-3 2B in '06. However, Soriano, Utley and Cantu have the upside to outperform Figgins' ceiling, and with Soriano and Cantu typically being drafted later, I like them better from a value standpoint.

Second
over Utley? Who on earth do you have first?

I'm in the underrated camp.
I think the thing that's being overlooked is his position eligibility. To be able to replace a third baseman, outfielder, or secondbaseman with someone the likes of Figgins is a huge advantage.

In daily lineups with no maximium games played he's an easy 2nd round pick. In weekly lineups or leagues with max games by position I like him as an early to mid 3rd round. Thats assuming 5x5 scoring. He's also a tad bit more valuable in roto than H2H as are all speedsters. H2H you end up waisting too many SB since you get 15 one week and then 3 the next, its just too variable a stat.

it's interesting to see him as both over and underrated. I'm curious to see if he will maintain his eligibility at multiple positions because that's where a lot of his value comes from anyway.

Just picked him up in the second round with the 8th pick...its a few spots higher than he should have gone (I place him right at the end of the second round), but he's exactly what I want and he would not have come back around...
