Bobby Crosby, MVP

Postby BronXBombers51 » Sun Mar 05, 2006 7:56 pm

Harold Reynolds just predicted Crosby will win the AL MVP this year. I'm high on the kid, but this seems a little over the edge. Could this be the breakout year we've all been waiting for from him?

I can't quite see it. Did he have any hard evidence?

Reynolds is an idiot?

He said Crosby would win it if Thomas was healthy all year batting behind him.

He obviously know's that there's no way Frank will stay healthy, therefore, it's like saying that Juan P. will hit 40 bombs if Kerry Wood makes 32 starts.

As long as Gammons doesn't agree.

I think Crosby will do well as long as he stays healthy.
I just drafted him in the 14th in a 12 teamer. I expect a servicable SS with a touch of power. Anything beyond that and I'll be estatic.

riiight. Crosby would have to hit about 30 HRs with a .300 AVG to grab MVP honors.

Great prediction Harold.

Did Harold see Frank Thomas win the A's 100 yard dash competition or anything like that?

I am rooting for Frank myself but don't see Crosby having an MVP year even if Frank is at 100% and plays 150 games because if Frank plays that much HE's going to be the MVP!!! duh!! :-D

Great prediction Harold.

I would think it will take more than that considering the offensive juggernauts in the AL: Arod, Manny, Ortiz, Hafner to name a few.

Also, Crosby would need to carry the A's to a pennant and finish awesome. Tall order for a 26 year old with only 2 MLB season under his belt. I'd say the chances of Bobby winning the AL MVP is as good as Bubba right now.

Last year Kruk said RJ would win 30. Reynolds from what i've heard him say, might actually be under Kruk, as far as bb IQ.
