with the limited bench positions I don't think it would be very economical to waste one on a back-up catcher. If pudge goes down i'd DL him and pick up a replacement, same goes for Gagne. Others in the cafe have recommended dropping G.Anderson for W. Taveras. I'm also contemplating dropping Atkins for M.Ellis or P. Polanco since they would make my line-up more flexible at filling in off days and injuries for the rest of my roster. We don't play head to head, only keep a running tally of points throughout the course of the season. anymore input?

I agree with you on carrying the backups. I would drop Atkins for Ellis (i just don't think polanco helps enough cats) I would drop anderson for Taverez depending on what point system your league uses. Tavrez could be the odd man out if Bagwell is able to play and Berkman moves to the outfield.
i think our scoring is pretty standard (this is only my 2nd yr. playing fantasybaseball):
single=1pt
double=2pt
triple=3 pt
HR=4 pt
RBI=1
R=1
SB=1
K=1pt
W=12pt
CG=5 pt
SHO=5 pt
SV=5 pt
Any other advice? The Bagwell thing sort of scares me away from Taveras, since we do only have a limited amount of tranactions I may not want to pick him up just yet.
I like your pitching a lot. I agree with everyone else about Gagne though. Considering he hasn't really been seen in a long while and he left camp for a bit, I'd be leary.
Because Win's and Saves are worth so many points, I'd drop your one bench spot for another starter or decient closer.

Like everyone else is saying, you need some insurance in case Gagne goes down. I would trade Maddux for a middle of the road closer or simply drop Maddux and see if Danys Baez is still available on waiver wire. If Gagne does go down, Baez will get the saves. How many teams are in this league? You could do better than Atkins on your bench as well. Otherwise, a solid team.
RP to put behind Gagne include: Dempster (who I like since I'm a Cubs fan), B. Fuentes, T. Jones, Foulke (burned me last year), T. Gordon, A. Benitez, J. Valverde, B. Wickman, Any recomendations?
