FANBALL 03/04 15:40 Phillies: Bell out indefinitely
THE NEWS
Phillies third baseman David Bell will be sidelined indefinitely with back problems, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Our View
Bell underwent a battery of tests late in the week, but the Phillies say that there were no significant changes from previous tests taken on his back. We'll continues to follow his progress so fantasy owners will know when he is expected to return.
Looks like Philly may finally make a move to replace the oft-injured Bell. (Hinske, Atkins/Stewart/Baker, Teahen with Garcia coming up, or Mueller with LaRoche on his heels?) Just speculating though.

I don't really think that they have a TON of good pitchers to dangle, considering that Cory Lidle is in the rotation this year, but the idea of Huff in that lineup is absolutely mouth-watering.
Abraham Nunez is the backup, and honestly, he might be a step up from Bell for them. I hope they make a trade (McPherson to clear a spot for Wood in Anaheim?), because if they don't, the Mets and Braves are going to make the East into a two-team race.
mike costanzo was thier #1 pick last year and could be lookeed at near the end of the year as the long-term replacement. As for now i think Nunez will have the job. If a trade goes down it will be with one of the pitchig prospects such as gonzolez hamels haigwood. i think that won't hppen tho.

How the hell did you quote a post that was made AFTER yours???

I didn't even notice that at first. how did you do that?
Leyland said, "We thought we were getting a hell of a player, but Neifi simply did not perform well."
There had to of been a lag because I originally posted right after my 1st post. Philly doesn't have arms??? Floyd, Hamels, Tejada, Brito, Gonzalez, Haigwood, Madson...I'd say those are arms. Huff is walking after this year so...they may get nothing if they don't trade him.
