Do I have a Problem?

My girlfriend tells me that I spend too much time looking at Fantasy Baseball info. And I do spend plenty of time reading about forecasts, etc. I didn't really believe her until I was talking to my best friend on the phone for half an hour and in all the baseball talk, forgot to mention that I'd asked her to marry me and wanted him to be my best man. His low opinion of Thome and my low opinion of Piazza seemed to be more important.
How do you know when you're addicted? Can I get disability pay for this?

I have a notebook I carry with me full of Baseball stats and analysis that i've collected. I am currently building a "What if I get the 4th pick in the draft? What if I get the 5th pick.." cheat list. I'm right there with you. My wife thinks i'm nutz. I think i'm a "dedicated fan"! (fanatic)

none of us have problems... im just doing my daily keepup for fantasy baseball. there is only one month or so left so it's not bad

My wife hates fantasy sports with a passion. She's become a lot more tolerable of it though. I explained to her that its a just a dedicated hobby(and one that seems to be growing substantially). I see it being no different than people who collect things or who cook for fun or do outdoor activities or whatever.

One of the things I've found that is key to handling a spouse who's not too keen on Fantasy is to always let them know well in advance of any fantasy-related activities. I always tell her when my drafts are as soon as I know. I find this makes them a little more understanding and tolerable rather than telling them minutes before the draft, "Screw eating dinner with your parents I got a draft to do!" They don't seem to like that one.

I see nothing wrong with the person who originally wrote this topic. I call my friends about things all the time. Its usually two minutes of, "How have you been?" Five minutes of, "So I'm calling because...yada yada yada." And an hour of, "So do you think Aaron Boone's value should go up a whole lot if he becomes eligible at 2B??"
