I just received an offer of H. Blalock for C. Delgado (not a chance). I think the other manager is very interested in getting an established bopper at 1B. Instead of blatantly rejecting his offer, I am toying around with this counter offer: Utley/Delgado for Wright/Tejada. I would then move F. Lopez to 2B and slide Tejada in at SS. I would move Tracy to 1B and send E. Chavez to Util. Gomes/Drew/Rowand/Lane would rotate in my 3rd OF spot depending on the situation.
What do you think?
Here is my Roster:....................and his Roster
C - R. Hernandez.......................C - J. Mauer
1B - C. Delgado.........................1B - P. Fielder
2B - C. Utley.............................2B - B. Roberts
SS - F. Lopez.............................SS - M. Tejada
3B - E. Chavez..........................3B - D. Wright
OF - H. Matsui............................OF - G. Sizemore
OF - C. Tracy.............................OF - S. Podsednik
OF - R. Winn..............................OF - V. Wells
Util - J. Gomes...........................Util - H. Blalock
B - A. Rowand...........................B - J. Morneau
B - J. Lane.................................B - A. Kearns
B - J. Drew
B - J. Willingham
SP - Jo. Santana.......................R. Harden
SP - R. Johnson........................S. Kazmir
RP - E. Gagne...........................C. Ray
RP - J. Valverde........................M. McDougal
P - J. Lackey.............................C. Capuano
P - J. Blanton............................D. Weathers
P - C. Wang..............................M. Cain
P - S. Chacon............................J. Weaver
................................................J. Westbrook
...............................................C. Pavano
He could then move Blalock to 3B, Utley to 2B, Delgado to 1B and rotate Fielder and Roberts at Util (depending on if he needs power or SBs).
Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

If you can get him to take it then I would do it. If I'm him I don't take you up on it though. I love Utley as much as anyone, but I don't think his numbers are going to be as good as Tejada's.

So far so good...additional feedback is appreciated.
I've submitted the proposal to him...we'll see what happens. If he declines, should I counter w/this:
Tracy and one of the following: Lane/Rowand/Gomes/Drew for Sizemore. I need more speed, but I like Tracy's potential hitting 3rd in AZ and his positional flexibility.
or
Utley/Winn for Sizemore/Roberts
Utlimately, I'm very happy w/my team, so I don't want to do anything unless I can come out with an edge. The other manager is the one that is so anxious to upgrade at 1B. Maybe Tracy isn't an upgrade over the potential of Fielder...but at least Tracy has proven himself over a 500 AB season.
Your thoughts?

he'll probably turn that down since he already has roberts, who is more than adequate at 2b.
of course if he takes it you win.

OK...he rejected my trade (not a surprise) and countered with this:
I give up:
Chavez
Delgado
Utley
I get
Wright
Roberts
Morneau
I would like the additional SBs, but I haven't heard whether Roberts will be ok at the start of the season. If Morneau were to have the season he was hyped to have last year, I think this could be a go.
If I did this, I would probably move Tracy to 1B and have Morneau on the bench until he proves that his elbow/health is ok. I would fill my 3rd OF and Util with two of the following: Gomes/Drew/Lane/Rowand.
I guess this is my main concern...I would be giving up 3 players firmly entrenched in my starting lineup and potentially only receiving 2 full-time starters in return (and that is assuming Roberts won't start the season on the DL)
Thoughts?
