What do you guys think? Suggestions? One guy is trying to acquire Ichiro for Dontrelle Willis and some other player. Should I even do this considering the depth of my starting pitching? What would be a fair trade?
i looked at your offense and said to myself its a little weak, but then i looked at your pitching and i saw why. I really like your pitching and it def makes up for your offense
Yeah, I'm trying to get either another stolen base guy, or a big 40-homerun power hitter, or both. I'm guessing I could trade away an ace pitcher, but I am loath to do so, because I really like my pitching as well.
Any suggestions for who to trade for, or who to trade away?
Your strengths are obviously your pitching and outfield. Your infield really isn't that shabby either. What you lack the most is a quality SS. I would go for a Felipe Lopez or Mark Eliss...somone with versatility that will be able to fill your MI or 2b/SS slot if somone goes down...a filler if you will....that is inexpensive. That should be your top priority. On the waiver wire, Barmes might be available and he could be a SS with some pop that came free. Heck, monitor J. Upton's status throughout spring training....even at 18 he could be an intriguing option at SS.
As for the trade front, I'm not sure Willis would be a good move for you. I would only deal Ichiro if you get a C. Lee and a Willis or something like that....make them overpay a bit as he is a top 20 guy in almost all drafts.
I just rejected a trade offer that would give me Clemens, Thome, Penny and (Nick) Johnson, and I would give them Helton and Sheets.
Should I trade for Jose Reyes? I hear he's getting better every day, and learning how to be an actual leadoff hitter. What do you guys think? Straight-up Sheets (or Schmidt, or even Zambrano) for Reyes? Or a package deal with some of my lesser players?

It depends on the stat categories...if its 5v5........then it couldn't hurt. If there are a lot of hitting categories, then Reyes is only going to help in 2 departments and probably isn't worth an ace.
