I'm NOT thrilled with this team....WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Looks good to me, but I'm used to seeing 12 team rosters, so maybe all the extra talent is just overloading my brain :)

My only concern: your fastest guy is sitting on the bench, and with your OF, you'd be severly downgrading if you gave Willy any playing time. Plus, Bay and Hunter have decent speed, like 45 SB's between them. Maybe trade for Mauer. Catcher is the only position I see where getting a SB threat will upgrade your position overall.

I think you're team is pretty good too. Your offense okay in balance but you need more speed as you are more prominent in power. I think your another concern is pitching. You lack a good pitching rotation after Schmidt. I mean it's not too bad as it is, but I'd want some better pitching. Maybe trade some of that power?

Who should I attempt to trade? Any guys I should be looking to sell, and what guys should I target?

I was thinking that maybe you should trade a stud for an ace and maybe a young talent. You can definitely afford trading a stud for an ace.

I'm not thrilled with:
- Brett Myers as your 3rd pitcher; I just don't think he'll have #s comparable to his last season when it's all set and done; you'd probably end up using Cain more on that spot
- Travis Bowyer; I think you got SVs covered and you should probably drop him for a soon-to-be closer, a stud relief pitcher, or a backup for Jeter

Your team is pretty good. You lack a true ace, but you have good depth in your staff. Lackey needs to have another year like 05 to make that staff play great. I would look to take advantage of a guy that has an overload of starters and look to pull a 2 for 1 deal with him. Your relief isn't spectacular but you have 3 closers and 1 potential closer......I wouldn't worry about it until around May and only if people are hurt and not getting save oppurtunities. Focus on upgrading 1 starter as cheaply as possible, and just be oppurtunistic on the waiver wire. Otherwise, play it safe.

In my opinion, your heavy OF and RP.

You need MI, with a SB component, and SP.

Does Hafner have 1b elgibility in your league? That would allow you to trade Chad Tracy.

I might have to be a little patient. Let the seaon start and hope one of your outfielders, Tracy, Hermida, Baldelli, or Gonzo gets off to a quick start. Of the 4, I would trade Gonzo. You know what he'll produce roughly. The other three have upside.

I think Valverde is the least secure of your RP that I might deal.

Could pair one of these guys with one of your SP, and try to upgradde your SP.

Otherwise, try to deal OF straight up for MI who will get at least 20 SB this year.

I've been offered this:

I GIVE:
Miguel Cabrera
Barry Zito
Chad Tracy

I GET:
David Wright
Freddy Garcia
Randy Winn

Winn gives me some speed in my outfield, and I do like Wright more than M-Cab. I like Zito more than Freddy G. though. What do you think of this deal?
