Holliday, and I agree that it's not close.

He has a legit shot at 310, 30, 90 with 10SB....

Gomes average will be around 275 with 25HR and 70RBI...

Holliday plays in Coors too so I'd take that even if they were even.

;-D

hollidays 2nd half, 325 avg, 15 hrs, 64 rbis i believe

Holliday but only because of the average. Gomes will hit more HR's but I expect his average to regress this year as his indicators suggest a .260 average or so.

I like Gomes but lets get back to reality

Holliday is an offensive force in the NL. He hits for average, power and has good speed. Future MVP?

I doubt Gomes will even get a starting job, so he'll be unreliable this year. Holliday by a mile.

Holliday isn't an offensive force, he's a hitter in Coors. He hit .256 with a .729 OPS on the road last year. In another park he's a replacement level OF.

Gomes will start full time, if he loses playtime its because he slumps badly. If anyone in that lineup loses playtime its Travis Lee.

I like Gomes but I'd take Hollidy....it wouldn't shock me to see him have 130 rbis in the very near future.

Gomes really came out of nowhere in 2005. I have my doubts that he will come close to those numbers again. He also has a lot of people breathing down his neck if he falters.

Holliday is not that much better but he is the heavy favorite considering the fact that he has a solid job and also has the X factor in Coors.

The power didn't come out of nowhere, just the average which I don't think he'll keep. He'll drop into the .250-.260 range. I do agree that Holliday is the better choice, I just thought it was funny someone said he was an offensive force when he's just joe average with Coor's field working for him.
