how did you get both pujols and wright? thats amazing that he fell to the end of the 2nd round. my 2 drafts hes gone 8th overall and 12th. i think your offense is pretty good. you'll get some hr from pujols, sheff, and berkman, and Sb's from furcal. castillo wont put up the best numbers, but he should have a good avg. what i dont like is your pitching. clemens might not play, and mulder and hudson arent what they once were. you should get plenty of saves, but your other sp's arent very good. wake is below avg for fantasy, and chacin, heilman, glavine are no guarantees to do good. problem is, you dont have depth at any postion to trade for a top of the line starter. if clemens pitches you should be in the running, but if he retires i think you might have trouble.
I agree. Any need for 4 RP's? I would think three would be more than enough. Tough to just drop one, see if you can maybe trade one for a SP. Is Heilman even going to start for the Mets? He is on waivers in both my leagues. Maybe drop him for a different starter.
I second those emotions. From what I can tell you would win my league's SV, but your SPs are spotty at best. Use Foulke or Gonzalez and pair it with Blanton or Hudson to get another better starter. I avoided Clemens in my draft because he isn't going to be around for a couple months, plus he's wicked old, good, but old.
I can only echo the previous statements, but also show some concern at the lack of bench with your offence? There's virtually no cover at all - perhaps one of your relievers could be given up to get a decent (e.g. .280-20-80) hitter? Or are there any available on the WW?
Wright didn't drop, I didn't draft him. I traded A. Jones for Wright.
Its Rotisserie scoring, I didn't mention that.
I agree with everyone's comments, I know my pitching is pretty weak and I don't have a lot to make a deal with. Heileman is going to be in the Mets rotation from everything I've seen, I like him. I'm not real big on Mulder, I personally like Hudson better. I think Blanton should be ok too. I went heavy on RP because I want to steal at least one pitching category, I think I should be at the top or near the top in the hitting categories. The reason I picked up Castillo is because I have a feeling he will steal 30+ bases with a .300 avg this year. With Castillo, Furcal, and Wright I'll be ok, middle of the pack in SB.
There are some guys on the WW that I am interested in, Hermida, Delmon Young, Kinsler, Willingham. I'd replace Alou with Hermida in a heartbeat but I just don't want to outright drop anyone to do that. I mean my pitchers aren't great but none of them are bad enough to just release, someone else would pick em up.
I'll see what I can get for one of my RPs, Alou, and a SP.
