sucking is still sucking. What did he have(baseball cube is not loading for me) a mid 5 ERA in AAA last year?

I've never thought of Papelbon as a top Prospect. He's like 25 years old. Top prospect are usually knocking on the door in their early 20"s imo. His career will probably be better than any one though when he was drafted.

My bust is Petit ... he may be a quilty of overachieving in minors.

Well you must not be like everyone else then. The original topic was saying BA came out with it's Top 100 and who would likely be a potential to bust. Well on the list Papelbon is 37th and even at Baseball Prospectus he is 36th, so it seems to me most are considering him a pretty good prospect. Not only that but I've heard him being called a TOR pitcher now for quite a bit, and I just don't agree.

By definition your probably right. When thinking about who are top prospects I'm usually thinking in terms of the top 10-15 and I tend to put a lot of emphasis on age and what level they are playing at.

Well yeah it all comes to personal opinions and preferences when dealing with prospects. Overall a top 50 prospect is close to being a pretty good to a top prospect to IMO debate whether or not he will bust. If you look at BA's ranking while they rate Papelbon at 37, they list Petit I believe in the 70's ... and a good amount of people seem down on him. So someone could say Petit isn't a top prospect either, but a lot of that goes into ones opinions.
