BA top 100 has their list of top prospects out. My question is, who do you think are the prospects most likely to bust in the majors? Just name off a few guys who you think may be a potential bust candidate.
Chad Billinglsey
Hayden Penn
Jeff Niemann
John Danks
Joel Guzman
Homer Bailey (I love him, but the Reds system/ballpark may ruin him)
I don't agree with Billingsley at all, only way he busts in my mind is with injuries. The rest I can see though: either they are raw, had or could have injuries, or are overrated (Penn).
Anyways here are some guys I think could or should bust.
Felix Pie - I like the kid a lot, but he falls in the tons of raw talent that may not put it all together category. I hope he does well though cause he is one of my fav prospects.
Lastings Millledge - Much like Pie and question whether he will reach his upside.
Jonathon Papelbon - Yeah read any post I have commented on him, not a fan.

Honorable Mention: A. Marte
He's one of my favorite prospects as well. I do have a feelign he is a potential bust too but didnt want to say it.
Milledge is an interesting choice, everyone seems to think of him as can't miss so I could see him being a let down from wher epeople expect him to end up. I like your other choices as well.
Stephen Drew- injury geneology
Lastings Milledge- NY Media overhypes him
Eric Duncan- With all those strikeouts, he has a 20-30 hr a year Jim Thome career coming towards him
I'd like to see your reasoning on this one... I've never heard one person ever consider Salty a potential bust... take him out of Myrtle Beach and his numbers would be excellent.
Bust I really don't think so at all. I got a chance to see him play quite a bit last year, and he has lots of talent for sure. I do see a possible value lowering of him possibly coming though if McCann has a very nice year like expected and then Salty has to move to 1b to make the big league team. Salty's stats at catcher would be awesome, but his stats at 1b would be just average or maybe a little above average.
