on if you guys think Willie Taveras and Julio Lugo put up similar stolen base totals as last year? And other then Gathright do you guys have any thoughts on someone you can get lower in the draft that might suprise with stolen bases.
I like Willy Taveras this year. I think he can score 100 runs and steal 25-30 bases.
Chris Duffy is a guy that isn't getting drafted. He's the Pirates' starting center fielder and is a speedster. He can possibly nab 15-20 bases.
Eric Reed, the center fielder for the Marlins is another one that will nab some bases. I'm not sure if Yahoo added him yet though.
Reed may not get the starting job in Florida...at least he doesn't have it officially yet as far as I've seen. If he does get it he sounds like he'll be good for 15-20 depending on how often he actually gets on base.
As for Lugo, his output will be influenced in part by where he hits. I would expect a downtick, however, since LaRussa liked to run more than the average manager. I think 25 is still a safe bet regardless however. Of course this presumes he is not traded, which is not a certainty.
Does anyone have a good sense of the expected line-up in Tampa and where Lugo might be hitting?
Nook Logan. He's a waste if you want anything else besides SB. Right now he looks like the 4th OF for the Tigers but he is only one Magglio Ordonez injury away from starting.

25-30 for the fastest player in the leauge, who also has a quality CS%?
33 is a lock, assuming 550+ PA. I'm putting my money on 37+.
Lugo will either hit 1st or 2nd according to the most recent news out of DRays camp.
Here's their projected lineup as listed at Rotowire
1 SS R Julio Lugo
2 LF L Carl Crawford
3 2B R Jorge Cantu
4 DH or 3B L Aubrey Huff
5 RF R Jonny Gomes
6 1B L Travis Lee
7 CF or DH R Rocco Baldelli
8 3B or
CF L/R or
L Sean Burroughs, Ty Wigginton or
Joey Gathright
9 C R Toby Hall, Josh Paul
Lots of if's at the bottom of the order but it looks like the top 7 are set. The article mentions that Lugo and Crawford could be switched by the way.

Yea, I have a feeling that 25-30 for Taveras seems a little low, he's darn fast and I'd feel pretty comfortable calling for 40ish, could push 50.
